Design concepts capture the history and natural beauty of its surroundings
‘Heritage and Reinvigoration‘ is the theme of the newly-refurbished hotel which is set to be an oasis of wellness in the upscale Ebisu district of Tokyo. The hotel’s lobby, reception, F&B outlets and guest rooms have been extensively updated in time for the hotel’s 30th anniversary, happening in 2024.
Guests can expect holistic experiences that focus on the wellbeing of both mind and body ranging from mindful eating, and restful sleeps with the brand’s signature Heavenly Bed.
Indoor Greenhouse Lobby Concept
Redesigned around the concept of an orangery, the hotel’s first floor and Lobby Lounge area presents a harmonious setting that showcases the beautiful natural surroundings of the hotel with a wraparound glass view of the greneery outside in “The Westin Garden”.
A new addition is a green installation, designed by floral artist Naoki Sasaki, that celebrates the sublime beauty of nature and the original landscapes of Ebisu.
“Eat Well” Philosophy
Dining experiences at The Terrace focus on healthy cuisine that help diners replenish their body, mind and soul. Opt to see on the outdoor patio or simply enjoy the fresh interiors of the restaurant that take inspiration from the natural streams and greenery of the Ebisu neighbourhood.
Pastry boutique Patisserie by The Westin Tokyo has reopened as an independent store, offering array of delectable sweet and savoury treats which includes their Executive Chef’s original creations. The menu also includes a wide selection of curries and soups.
Tokyo Skyline Views
For stunning panoramic views for Tokyo’s skyline and freshly grilled tepanyaki, head to the top floor (22F) of the hotel and dine at Yebisu. The restaurant was redesigned around a concept of rising flames with skilled teppanyaki chefs delighting diners with a theatrical performance as they prepare and grill the succulent meats and seafood.
Or visit Escalier (22F) an intimate sky bar with only 35 seats. Escalier serves cocktails and mocktails by award-winning The SG Club, which has won many accolades and has been named as one of “The World’s 50 Best Bars”.
“We are delighted with the completion of our scheduled renovations, and to present all the exciting new offerings at The Westin Tokyo, which has always embodied modern hospitality that remained true to traditional Japanese values,” said Charles Jack, General Manager, The Westin Tokyo. “Nestled in Ebisu yet with a strategic location close to the bustling Daikanyama, Shibuya and Roppongi districts, The Westin Tokyo is a true urban oasis with an extensive, curated collection of holistic programs that elevate our guests’ well-being during their travels.”
